What is a Community Foundation?

Community foundations are tax-exempt public charities dedicated to improving the lives of people in a defined local geographic area. They bring together the financial resources of individuals, families, and businesses to support important causes and provide localized solutions for individuals and organizations. A community foundation both stewards and grows resources while making grants and supporting programs in the community.
